What can I eat instead of pasta

If you like to eat pasta, there are various low-carbohydrate alternatives. One of them is Slim pasta: A big hit in England for a long time, the carbohydrate-free noodle is also on the rise in this country. The pre-cooked noodles, which are available as fettucine, penne, spaghetti and rice, only have to be briefly washed under cold water - and are ready to eat, although they can of course also be placed in boiling water for two or three minutes. Slim Pasta has hardly any taste of its own and looks more reminiscent of glass noodles, but does not contain any carbohydrates and with 8 kcal per 100 grams is a real noodle substitute for everyone who can cope with the slightly different taste. Use strong sauces! Spaghetti made from thinly grated vegetables (zoodles) are also a great low-carb alternative: Zucchini are particularly good! Also Shirataki noodles avoid carbohydrates. They are similar to glass noodles, but they are thicker. These mainly consist of water and flour from the konjac root, which is why they are well suited for a low-carb diet. If you like to try something new and like vegan food, chickpea noodles or soy noodles are just the thing for you.
The same applies to rice as to pasta: either use one of the numerous low-carb offers or replace it with another vegetable! One possibility for this is cauliflower - simply slice it on the cheese grater and then prepare as desired. Do you know Quinoa? The protein-rich seeds contain a lot of essential amino acids and fiber, which makes you feel full for a long time. A great alternative to travel!

Low carb version - potato

The potato calls for ingenuity - a low-carb version of the popular potato has yet to be invented. However, celery can also be used to make a very tasty puree, and the turnip can almost always be used to replace the potato with significantly fewer carbohydrates.
Are you longing for french fries? The delicious alternative made from butternut squash tastes just as good, if not better, because you don't have to feel guilty about it. These vegetables are full of carotenoids and potassium, which is good for your heart.
Or how about carrot fries? Few people know that, surprisingly, fried carrots have a similar taste to sweet potatoes, have far fewer calories and are therefore a real insider tip! Even if it's not the usual potato fries, the vegetable variants are real culinary delights and a filler!
You can't do without your potato chips on the couch in the evening? They are excellent in the low-carb diet Vegetable chips made from zucchhini, carrots or beetroot. Roasted and baked in the oven, these snacks taste exceptionally good and don't have as many carbohydrates as ordinary chips.

Veggie bread variations

As an alternative to bread, which of course contains tons of carbohydrates in the conventional version, numerous protein breads and rolls are already waiting in German supermarkets. Baking mixes for low carb breads are also available. A great starter and a healthier version of bruschetta is fried aubergine with a tomato and onion mix as a topping. You do without bread without neglecting the taste. Delicious and low in calories at the same time!
And you don't have to go without a delicacy at breakfast either. The fluffy ones Almond flour-Pancakes are great in taste and don't make you feel guilty in the first place. To perfect the dish, add a few fresh berries as a topping on the pancake. Or Chia seeds Mix instead of the usual oatmeal with yoghurt and add fresh fruit. However, add water to the seeds beforehand, they enlarge 9-10 times and keep you full for a long time. This will give you a great start to the day without a growling stomach.

You won't believe it until you try it! The portobello mushroom pizza is low in carbohydrates and is a great combination of pizza-style vegetables. To do this, wrap the portobello mushrooms and fill them with tomato sauce and vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese and et voilĂ , the low-carb pizza is in the oven.
The turkey portobello burger is also low in calories and tastes very good. Sounds complicated? Absolutely not and easy to prepare! Clean the turkey meat in the pan and the portobello mushroom. Add lettuce, tomato and onion - an appetizing meal is ready without having to go without anything.

In general, of course, the following applies: A good piece of meat doesn't interfere with a low-carb diet and you can simply take vegetables as a side dish!
