Ciara Princess Harris Born October 25, 1985 in Fort Hood, Texas is an American hip-hop and R&B singer. Her international breakthrough came in 2004 with the number one hitGoodies.

Youth and private life


2003–2005 start of career with Goodies

In 2003 she signed her first solo record deal with LaFace Records and composed and produced her debut album with artists such as Jazze Pha, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Dre & Vidal and R. Kelly Goodieswhich was released in September 2004. The first single of the same name, produced by Lil Jon, reached the charts worldwide and was number one in the USA. Other singles from the debut album Goodies are 1, 2 step featuring Missy Elliott, Oh feat. Ludacris and And I. All songs from the album were successfully placed in the charts worldwide.

2005–2008 The Evolution: Ciara

In 2005 Ciara received Soul Train Awards in the categories “Female Entertainer of the Year” and “Best New R&B Artist”. She was also nominated for the Grammy as “Best Newcomer”. 2008–2011: Fantasy ride and Basic instinct

Her album was released in May 2009 Fantasy ride; was the first single from the album Love Sex Magic a duet with Justin Timberlake. She only released the songs from the album in the United States Go girl featuring T-Pain,[8]In On, Like a surgeon and never ever featuring Young Jeezy[9]. The second international single was Work released with Missy Elliott, and charted in just a few countries. Harris is also on Enrique Iglesias song Takin 'back my love to listen. Their fourth studio album Basic instinct was released on December 10, 2010. The first single was Ride Released with Ludacris, there are other singles released only in the United States Gimmie Dat, U Got Me (Basic Instinct)[10] and Speechless. The album did not have a major international chart success. Therefore, in February 2011 Ciara wrote an open letter via Facebook to her long-time label Jive Records, in which she asked that her contract be terminated.[11] In July 2011 she signed a new artist contract with Epic Records.

2013–2015: Ciara and Jackie

Harris came back after a year-long pregnancy hiatus. Your fifth album CIARA was released on July 9, 2013. The first single from the album was Body party (Remix feat. Future & B.o.B).[12] Further promotional publications were Sweat featuring 2 Chainz, Sorry and Got me good. The second official single from the album was the duet with Nicki MinajI'm out released.[13] Nicki Minaj and Ciara have the song for Minaj's album I'm legit recorded.[14] The third release from the album was Overdose. All of the releases from the album were charted. In May 2015 she released her sixth studio album Jackie.[15]I Bet and Dance Like We're Make Love were released as singles. The song I got you was released as a free download by Harris on Mother's Day.[16] The album also features artists such as Pitbull, Missy Elliott and Joe Jonas.

Since 2018: Beauty Marks

After another pregnancy break, Ciara returned to the studio in 2018.[17] The first single release from the upcoming album was Level up. Thanks to downloads, the song has placed 59th in the American charts. A remix variant was released with Missy Elliott and Fatman Scoop. The song became a viral hit thanks to the dance of the same name, Chellenge.[18] Together with Missy Elliott, she has Level up sung at the 2018 American Music Awards and featured a medley of new songs on the show by Ellen DeGeneres.[19] As a promotion for the album, the songs were Can and Freak me released. The third single is called Greatest love and was released on Valentine's Day 2019. Ciara founded her own music label Beauty Marks, which is also the name of the seventh album.[20] The second international single is Thinking ’Bout You. Other publications are SET and the emotional song Beauty Marks which shows recordings of the wedding of Harris. The song Melanin together with Ester Dean, Lupita, LaLa & the City Girls was published in December 2019.
