What causes a tingling sensation in someone's neck

Back problems with dizziness

Hello Jana,

We are happy to give you feedback and hope to be able to help you.
First of all, an orthopedic and neurological evaluation of the cervical spine and possibly the head is advisable.

The cause of the pain in the neck and shoulder area you describe is mostly to be found in the lower cervical spine. The dizziness can be caused by a reflex, muscular blockage of the vertebral joints of the cervical spine.

Local heat therapy and targeted relaxation exercises can bring relief. In addition, sufficient exercise should be ensured, for example going for a walk. Training the anterior neck muscles is also suitable for self-exercise after thorough briefing by a physiotherapist.
During office work, the one-sided posture should be avoided, for example by frequently changing position and getting up regularly; a height-adjustable desk can be helpful here.

As a further measure after the medical examination, physiotherapy plays an important role in therapy.

With regard to panic, think about professional help from psychological support.

We hope that we have given you some suggestions and we wish you all the best for the future!
